Warrior II – Virabhadrasana II (veer-uh-buh-DRAHS-uh-nuh) – is a standing posture in yoga with the benefits to improve health, stability and concentration. It was named after the legendary warriors Hindu, Virabhadra, the incarnation of Shiva.
Virabhadrasana II improves indurance of legs, chest and hip. It reduces backache helps the digestion.
This is a hip opening posture which strengthens thigh and hip muscles. This practice also opens chest and shoulders, improves respiratory system and blood circulation. It is known as the treatment for fallen arches, sciatica, infetility and osteoporosis.
Warrior II is not only a physical posture but increases your concentration. The distraction disappears and your energy becomes strong and focused.
